Leadership Councils

The Parish Leadership Council members (Pastoral, Finance, Liturgy Committee) are the representatives who serve as leaders of the parish and keep in mind the mission and vision of St. Joseph.

The members work closely with the staff and each other to develop, implement and achieve the Church and parish mission.  They recommend operating practices and guidelines in ministry and administratively to the pastor.  It is a structure based on strong, lay leadership that recognizes the gifts of parishioners.  The heart of this structure is the collaboration between lay leadership and the pastor.

Parish Pastoral Council

The Parish Pastoral Council engages the people and the pastor prayerfully in common reflection about the parish’s mission and the ministry. This council is responsible for pastoral planning, ongoing needs assessment, defining parish goals, setting broad strategies for implementing those goals, and evaluating the parish’s success in carrying out the Church’s mission. It advises and guides the pastor in serving the needs of the parishioners.

It assists the pastor in the administration of the material resources of the parish by examining and approving major expenses as well as collaborates with the business manager in the preparation of the annual budget.
